Four days of Irish culture, music, dance, and flavors for St. Patrick's Day
The Ireland Festival is the grand celebration dedicated to Irish culture which, on the occasion of St. Patrick's week, enlivens Piazzola sul Brenta in the province of Padova in March. The setting is the Filatura Hall of the former Jutificio Camerini, 5,000 square meters entirely indoors and heated, which transform for four days into a corner of Ireland in the heart of the Veneto region.
The star is the typical Irish cuisine: Guinness beef stew, baked salmon, soups, grilled meats, pork knuckle, fish and chips, side dishes like colcannon and Irish beans, and desserts — apple fritters, apple pie, Guinness cake with mascarpone cream. Accompanying it all are the beers Guinness, Harp, and Kilkenny. The space comes alive like a Celtic fair, with craft stalls, mead vendors, fortune tellers, and woodcraft demonstrations.
The festival offers a rich program of live music and traditional dances, with Celtic bands and Irish dance groups alternating on stage and involving the public in open workshops. An opportunity to discover the culture, history, and traditions of the Emerald Isle without leaving the Veneto region.
The Filatura Hall of the former Jutificio Camerini is an example of recovered industrial archaeology, now used for events and fairs. Its size and heating make it perfect for hosting the Ireland Festival in the middle of winter, just a short walk from the majestic Villa Contarini.
The 2026 edition of the Ireland Festival was held from March 19 to 22 in the 5,000 sqm indoor and heated Filatura Hall of the former Jutificio Camerini. Four days of Irish culture with typical cuisine (Guinness stew, baked salmon, fish and chips, colcannon), Guinness, Harp, and Kilkenny beers, live music, traditional dances, workshops, and a Celtic fair with craft stalls, mead vendors, and fortune tellers. Free admission.
Throughout the event: Irish cuisine, Guinness/Harp/Kilkenny beers, and Celtic fair with stalls, mead, fortune tellers, and woodcraft demonstrations.
