About Vespa Day Cesenatico

In Cesenatico, on the Romagna Riviera, the International Vespa Day brings together about 200 Vespa riders from all over Italy and Europe every spring for a day of passion, engines, and solidarity. Meeting point in Piazza Costa, panoramic tour through the inland hills, typical Romagna lunch, elegance contest, and gala dinner: the entire proceeds are donated to charity. An event that combines the timeless myth of the Vespa with the charm of the Romagna landscape.

A two-wheeled legend kicks off the Romagna spring

Every year, at the beginning of spring, Cesenatico (Province of Forlì-Cesena, Emilia-Romagna) becomes the meeting point for enthusiasts of one of the most beloved symbols of Italian design: the Vespa. The International Vespa Day is a rally that for some years has inaugurated the Vespa season on the Romagna Riviera, attracting around 200 participants not only from Italy but also from Switzerland, France, Germany, Belgium, and Austria.

The heart of the event is the panoramic tour through the gentle hills of the Romagna hinterland: a long procession of vintage and modern Vespas that, starting from the sea of Cesenatico, climbs towards the villages and hilly landscapes for a day of conviviality and discovery of the territory.

Elegance, tradition, and solidarity

In addition to the group ride, the Vespa Day offers moments that make it an eagerly awaited event for the entire Vespa community. The typical lunch at a restaurant in the hills is also an occasion for the award ceremony for all registered Vespa Clubs, while in the afternoon, upon return to Piazza Costa, the traditional elegance contest takes place, one of the most anticipated and photographed moments of the day. The celebration concludes in the evening with an aperitif and gala dinner.

What makes this rally special is above all its solidarity aspect: organized by the great enthusiast Luigino De Calli, the event donates all proceeds to the ONLUS Association Nuova Famiglia, active in the area with social support projects.

Why participate

  • An international rally that brings together Vespa riders from all over Europe.
  • A panoramic tour of the Romagna hills, through villages and landscapes.
  • Elegance contest, typical lunch, and gala dinner.
  • A charity event, where passion for the Vespa meets solidarity.

Open to both Vespa riders and the simply curious, the International Vespa Day is now a fixed event on the calendar for Cesenatico and the entire Romagna region.
