The great traveling street food festival stops in Porto San Giorgio
International Street Food is considered the largest traveling street food festival in Italy and visits dozens of cities across the country every year. One of its most anticipated stops of the season takes place in Porto San Giorgio, a lively seaside town in the province of Fermo, in the Marche region: for a long weekend, Viale Bruno Buozzi, a stone's throw from the seafront, transforms into a large open-air gastronomic village.
The heart of the event is the dozens of selected food trucks and stands from all over Italy and abroad. Along the avenue, you'll find the most diverse street food specialties from regional and international cuisine: traditional Sicilian dishes, Puglian bombetta, grilled caciocavallo cheese, Abruzzese arrosticini, handmade Ascolana olives (a tribute to the Marche and Piceno territory), Roman pasta dishes and supplì, Angus and Scottish beef burgers, pulled pork and smash burgers, as well as more exotic offerings like Hungarian kürtőskalacs and Argentinian cuisine.
The Porto San Giorgio stop is not an isolated event: it is part of the rich program of the Festa del Patrono San Giorgio (Patron Saint's Day of San Giorgio), which enlivens the Municipality of Porto San Giorgio during the same period with a fair, concerts, and initiatives. Street food thus becomes the gastronomic hub of festive days that attract residents and local tourists along the Fermo Riviera.
Alongside the stands, the weekend offers live music and evening entertainment, with concerts and DJ sets that liven up the avenue until late at night. The event, curated by A.I.R.S. - Associazione Italiana Ristoratori Street Food (Italian Street Food Restaurateurs Association) chaired by Alfredo Orofino, has been a highly anticipated event for years among industry enthusiasts and has also been the setting for filming a television program dedicated to street food.
For the 2026 edition, International Street Food stopped in Porto San Giorgio from April 24 to 26, transforming Viale Bruno Buozzi into a gastronomic village open until midnight. The event, the 20th stop of the 10th edition and curated by A.I.R.S. with the patronage of the Municipality, offered specialties such as Puglian bombetta, arrosticini, Ascolana olives, gourmet burgers, and international cuisine.
The weekend, part of the Patron Saint's Day of San Giorgio celebrations, combined gastronomic stands with a schedule of music and shows: the Sangiorgesi concert on Friday, the "90 Mania" show on Saturday evening, and the grand finale on Sunday with Fausto Leali's concert and fireworks. Admission was free for the entire duration of the event.
Official opening Friday, April 24 at 6:00 PM, with stands open until midnight; Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26, opening from 12:00 PM to midnight. Alongside the gastronomic village, the entertainment program included "Sangiorgesi in concerto" (Friday), the "90 Mania" show (Saturday evening), and Fausto Leali's concert with fireworks (Sunday), as part of the Patron Saint's Day of San Giorgio.
