About Innovation Run

There is a place, on the outskirts of Bergamo, where research, business, and technology coexist in a science park recognizable by its long red wall: it is the Kilometro Rosso Technology District, in Stezzano. Every spring, this symbolic place of Lombard innovation becomes the setting for the Innovation Run, a running race that combines sport and business culture. A competitive FIDAL 10 km race alongside a non-competitive route open to everyone — enthusiasts, companies, communities — to experience inclusive sport in a unique setting, where athletic performance meets the world of innovation.

Running in the heart of innovation

The Innovation Run is the running race held at the Kilometro Rosso Technology District, in Stezzano, in the province of Bergamo. It is an event born from a precise idea: to bring athletics into one of the most representative places of Italian innovation, fostering dialogue between sport, business, and social responsibility.

Two races in one

The event offers two participation formats:

  • a competitive race of 10 km, official FIDAL and part of the national circuit, aimed at competitive athletes and runners;
  • a non-competitive run open to everyone, designed for enthusiasts, companies, and communities who want to experience sport in an inclusive way.

The route winds through and around the District, offering participants an unusual setting for a running race.

Sport, business, and territory

The Innovation Run is organized by ASD Atletica Stezzano in collaboration with Map Comunicazione, and is made possible thanks to the support of partners who share the values of innovation, business, and social responsibility. The event intertwines the sporting dimension with corporate networking, involving the productive realities of the Bergamo area.

The Kilometro Rosso

The Kilometro Rosso is a science and technology park recognizable by its long red wall along the highway, which hosts research centers and innovative companies. Running here means experiencing a piece of Lombardy Region that looks to the future, in a context where research and business meet every day.
