The future of tourism is slow

TERRAE is the new international fair dedicated to slow tourism, hosted at the Fiera di Bergamo. It was born as an evolution of Agritravel Expo, the first fair in Italy to promote rural and sustainable tourism, and it inherits and expands its legacy. The acronym TERRAE summarises an approach to travel made of Travel, Experience, Resort, Relax, Adventure, Exploration: slowness, quality of experience, and respect for the environment.

An international hub

The event confirms itself as a meeting point for operators, buyers, and territories from all over Italy and abroad. The participation of international networks such as Cittaslow International, which holds its annual assembly in Bergamo (Saturday, November 21), strengthens the global dimension of the event, highlighting the link between sustainable territorial development models and the quality of life of local communities.

B2B, talks, and tastings

The programme spans three days. The first day is dedicated to B2B, with Matching Day, workshops, and meetings between operators and international buyers. The following days open to the public with talks, show cooking, tastings, and experiential moments, including TERRAEGUSTO, the daily event dedicated to the flavours and products of the territories.

With its offering that intertwines villages, nature, wellness, and sustainability, TERRAE taps into one of the strongest trends in contemporary tourism. The choice of Bergamo, in the heart of Lombardy, as the venue for the event confirms the role of the Orobic capital as a crossroads of ideas and projects for more conscious travel.
