Workshops, gala, festival, and national dance competition at the Teatro Vittoria in Rome
InFormazioneDanza - National Dance Festival and Competition is the annual event organized by the InFormazioneDanza training school, under the artistic direction of master Amedeo Iagulli. The event takes place at the Teatro Vittoria, in the historic Testaccio district of Rome, the heart of the cultural life of the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, in the Lazio region. In a single day, the theater's auditorium becomes a meeting point for dance schools and students arriving from all over Italy to engage, perform, and grow.
The format combines two complementary spirits. The Festival for dance schools is open and non-competitive: schools can bring their students to the stage in all academic disciplines, without rankings, for the pleasure of performing in front of an audience and qualified masters. The National Competition, on the other hand, pits participants against each other to win the InFormazioneDanza Talent Award, with evaluations based on discipline, age category, and choreography.
The competition welcomes a wide range of styles, from the most classical to the most contemporary:
Performances are divided by age group, from the preparatory category (4-7 years) to semi-professionals (21+ years), with a section dedicated to adults reserved for the festival only. A structure that allows children, teenagers, and young dancers to measure themselves against peers of their own level.
The day is not just about the competition. In the afternoon, masterclasses are held with the masters who make up the jury: a precious training opportunity, open to competitors and external students. In the evening, the curtain rises on the gala, featuring performances by participants and students from the school's Ballet Studio training program. The event presents various awards, including the InFormazioneDanza Absolute Talent Award, choreography and composition awards, the critics' award, and placements by discipline and category.
The setting is far from random. The Teatro Vittoria overlooks Piazza di Santa Maria Liberatrice, in the heart of Testaccio, a popular and authentic district of Rome that has become one of the most vibrant hubs of the capital's theatrical and cultural scene over the years. For families and enthusiasts, InFormazioneDanza is an opportunity to spend a day dedicated to dance in one of the city's most authentic locations.
The fifth edition of InFormazioneDanza took place on July 3, 2026, at the Teatro Vittoria in Rome, in the Testaccio district. The day featured a mix of workshops, a festival, a competition, and a gala, with the participation of schools and students from all over Italy in classical, contemporary, modern, hip-hop, and musical dance disciplines.
Accepted disciplines: classical, contemporary, modern, hip-hop, and musical/show dance. Categories by age group from preparatory (4-7 years) to semi-professional (21+ years), plus an adult section reserved for the festival.
The Teatro Vittoria is located at Piazza di Santa Maria Liberatrice 10, in Rome's Testaccio district. The nearest metro stop is Piramide (Line B), just a few minutes' walk away; the area is served by bus lines 23, 30, 75, 83, 170, 280, 716, and 781.
Participation in the festival and competition is by registration, by filling out the appropriate form and sending the application via email by the deadline indicated in the regulations. Masterclasses have a separate cost (as an indication, โฌ20 for one lesson and โฌ30 for two lessons). For information: [email protected].
