Il Cardoncello Novello – Cardoncello Mushroom and Novello Wine Festival

The 13th edition of Il Cardoncello Novello brought the historic center of Gravina in Puglia to life on November 15–16, 2025, confirming its status as one of the most anticipated stops on the "Cardoncello on the Road" circuit. Around Piazza Plebiscito, the Pro Loco UNPLI stalls offered the great classics of Murgia cuisine based on Cardoncello mushrooms, accompanied by Novello wine. There was no shortage of arts and crafts markets, guided tastings, and visits to the city's historical sites, from rock-hewn churches to museums. The evenings were animated by folk music, with free admission to the event throughout.

• 19:00 — Opening of the Pro Loco UNPLI food stalls in Piazza Plebiscito and the historic center, featuring Cardoncello mushroom dishes and Novello wine
• Evening — Apulian folk music concert with Figli di Puglia

Sunday, November 16, 2025

• Morning — Guided tours of rock-hewn churches, districts carved into the tufa rock, and Gravina museums (by reservation)
• Lunchtime — Pro Loco menu at the historic center stalls
• From 19:00 — Stalls reopen
• Evening — Folk music and pizzica with Taranta Fil

Throughout both days: Murgia street food, guided tastings, arts and crafts market, and exhibits on peasant culture.
