The village festival of Igea Marina at Parco del Gelso
Igea Fest – Sagra di Paese is the festival that every spring transforms the Parco del Gelso in Bellaria-Igea Marina, in the province of Rimini, into the beating heart of the Igea Marina district. Three days of music, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere that bring back the authentic spirit of a village festival on the Romagna Riviera, in Emilia-Romagna, at a time of year when the resort is still far from the full summer buzz.
The event was born in 2024 from the initiative of a group of eight friends united in the Igea City association, with the stated desire to "bring Igea Marina to life even out of season". In just a few editions, the event has grown surprisingly: today it has over 120 volunteers, dozens of stands, and thousands of visitors, so much so that it has been awarded the Panzini prize by the Municipality of Bellaria-Igea Marina. What was a small neighborhood party has become a recognized event for the entire Romagna region.
The Igea Fest program combines all the facets of a Romagna festival: live concerts and evening DJ sets, typical cuisine prepared by volunteers, markets and crafts, traditional games, sports tournaments, and inter-neighborhood challenges, as well as shows and workshops for children. Parco del Gelso fills with stands run by artists and artisans from the Rimini and Cesena areas, while the kitchen offers traditional dishes in thousands of portions served daily.
Igea Fest is designed for all ages and has free admission. It involves local associations, civil protection, and hundreds of volunteers, confirming itself as an example of a participatory festival that enhances the identity of the Igea Marina district and the typical hospitality of the Romagna coast. With music, food, and that village atmosphere that puts everyone at ease, the festival is now one of the most cherished events in the spring calendar of Bellaria-Igea Marina.
From May 8 to 10, 2026, the Parco del Gelso in Bellaria-Igea Marina hosted the third edition of Igea Fest – Sagra di Paese, with opening on Friday from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM, and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM. Three days of music, typical gastronomy, and markets, managed by over 120 volunteers from the Igea City association.
The festival offered live acts and DJ sets every evening. Among the announced events: on Friday, DJ sets by Tony Lovely and Teo Mandrelli; on Saturday, the Duo Bucolico and Afro Garden; on Sunday, Velvet and Man y Miguel Los Borrachos Bros. Completing the offering were 16 stands of artists and artisans from the Rimini and Cesena areas, gastronomy with thousands of portions served, sports tournaments, and activities for children.
