Edition 2025 — Harvest, Learn and Taste

The 12th edition of "Harvest, Learn and Taste" took place on November 1-2, 2025, in San Pio delle Camere, dedicated to Zafferano dell'Aquila DOP. Two days of show cooking, theatrical performances, field harvesting, stigma removal, and tastings, featuring chef William Zonfa and nationally renowned master gelato makers, amidst folk music and outdoor activities.

The 12th edition of Harvest, Learn and Taste was held on November 1-2, 2025, in San Pio delle Camere (AQ), organized by the Associazione Le Vie dello Zafferano.

Saturday, November 1, the day opened at 3:30 PM with a show cooking session by chef William Zonfa in Piazza del Redentore, followed by traditional recipe stories from local women and, at 4:30 PM, the theatrical performance "La notte della Stella - Amore e Zafferano" by Teatro dei 99.

Sunday, November 2, started at 8:00 AM with the saffron harvest in the fields alongside producers, accompanied by the musical group Folka Vacca, with mountain bike rides through the fields and "Paesi Narranti" orienteering. This was followed by the stigma removal and drying in Piazza del Redentore, the opening of food stalls at 1:00 PM, and at 3:00 PM, a show cooking session by master gelato makers coordinated by Francesco Dioletta, with the participation of Osvaldo Palermo and Fabrizio Fenu.

Sunday, November 2: 8:00 AM saffron harvest in the fields with producers, accompanied by the group Folka Vacca; 8:30 AM MTB ride through the fields; 10:30 AM "Paesi Narranti" orienteering; stigma removal and drying in Piazza del Redentore; 1:00 PM opening of saffron-based food stalls; 3:00 PM show cooking by master gelato makers coordinated by Francesco Dioletta, with Osvaldo Palermo and Fabrizio Fenu.
