A Walser Carnival on the Snow

In Gressoney-La-Trinité, a municipality with Walser culture at the upper end of the Valle del Lys, at the foot of Monte Rosa in the Aosta Valley, Carnival is a celebration designed primarily for the little ones. In Piazza Tache, the heart of the village, the children's carnival fills the day with masks, colours, and entertainment, in a unique mountain setting.

The Children's Celebration

The Children's Carnival is the highlight: animators and activities involve families and children in games, masked parades, and entertainment, transforming the square into a large festive space. An event eagerly awaited by local families and the many tourists who frequent the Monterosa Ski area in the midst of the winter season.

Between Gressoney-La-Trinité and Gressoney-Saint-Jean

The carnival celebrations extend throughout the Gressoney valley: while Gressoney-La-Trinité hosts the children's carnival, the nearby Gressoney-Saint-Jean celebrates the Ambrosian Carnival with a parade and shows. Two complementary events that liven up the Valle del Lys and showcase its community spirit.
