About The Golden Hour

Every Sunday in spring, Gabicce Mare transforms into an open-air stage: "Greetings from Gabicce - The Golden Hour" brings sunset DJ sets to the squares and beaches of this town on the Riviera del Conero, in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino. From 6 PM, as the sun sets over the Adriatic, music accompanies the most beautiful hour of the day in a travelling and free event that visits Piazza Matteotti, Piazza Valbruna, Vallugola, and Sottomonte beach.

Sunset is best heard in Gabicce Mare

Greetings from Gabicce - The Golden Hour is the sunset DJ set event that enlivens Gabicce Mare every spring Sunday, a gem of the Adriatic Riviera in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino, in the Marche region. The idea is simple and evocative: as the sun begins to set over the Adriatic, the music takes centre stage, accompanying the golden hour, the "golden hour" that gives the event its name. There's no fixed stage or lineup of big names; the charm lies in the relaxed atmosphere, the scenery, and the soundtrack provided by local DJs.

A travelling event through squares and beaches

The format is that of a widespread and free event: every Sunday the DJ booth moves to a different location, shifting between the most beautiful spots in the municipality. Among the venues hosting the DJ sets are Piazza Matteotti, Piazza Valbruna, the bay of Vallugola, Sottomonte Beach, and the Gardens of Piazza Unitร  d'Italia. This travelling nature encourages residents and tourists to rediscover a different corner of the town each week, from the promenade to the central squares and the most picturesque inlets.

Who organises it and what music you'll hear

The initiative is promoted by the Tourism Department of the Municipality of Gabicce Mare together with the Orbita association, with artistic direction by DJ Giorgia Annibalini. Local DJs take turns playing different genres, catering to all musical tastes: an event designed to showcase young local talent and to offer a moment of music and conviviality to those strolling along the promenade during the most scenic time of day.

An event for the tourist season

Launched in 2025, the event quickly became one of the highlights that kick off the summer season in Gabicce Mare, accompanying weekends from spring until the summer solstice. Admission is free and the atmosphere is informal: just show up at one of the involved squares, order an aperitif, and let the rhythm carry you away as the sky is painted with the colours of the sunset over the sea.

The Golden Hour โ€” edition 2026

For the second consecutive year, "Greetings from Gabicce - The Golden Hour" returns: every Sunday until June 21, 2026, sunset DJ sets will liven up the squares and beaches of Gabicce Mare. It starts at 6 PM, with the DJ booth moving from week to week between Piazza Matteotti, Piazza Valbruna, Vallugola, and Sottomonte Beach. Artistic direction by DJ Giorgia Annibalini, organisation by the Orbita association and the Municipal Tourism Department.

The Golden Hour 2026, second edition

The sunset DJ set event returns to Gabicce Mare for its second consecutive edition. The events take place every Sunday until June 21, 2026, starting at 6 PM, when the sun begins to set over the Adriatic. The format remains travelling: every Sunday the music moves to a different location among the squares and beaches of the municipality.

The organisation is handled by the Orbita association along with the Tourism Department of the Municipality of Gabicce Mare, with artistic direction by DJ Giorgia Annibalini. Local DJs take turns playing different musical genres.
