The Carnival of Gratosoglio
The Gratosoglio Ambrosian Carnival is the carnival celebration of the Gratosoglio district, in Municipality 5 of the City of Milan, in Lombardy. It is a neighborhood parade organized by Municipality 5, which brings the colors of the Ambrosian Carnival — the Milanese carnival that concludes on Fat Saturday — to the southern outskirts of the city.
A Celebration for the Neighborhood
The parade starts from the terminus of tram 15, in the heart of Gratosoglio, and crosses the neighborhood streets with masks, costumes, and entertainment. It is an event primarily designed for families and children, fostering participation and social cohesion typical of initiatives by Milanese Municipalities.

The 2026 edition's theme is "Rainbow Houses for All", a message of inclusion and attention to the right to housing, particularly significant in a neighborhood with a high presence of social housing like Gratosoglio.
