Running in the «little Venice»

The Portogruaro Half Marathon is the half marathon of Portogruaro, in the Province of Venice, a road race that every autumn attracts athletes and enthusiasts to the heart of Eastern Veneto. The race focuses on the charming setting of the historic center, crossed by the Lemene river, hence the nickname «little Venice».

The course and distances

The main event is the competitive half marathon of 21.097 km, approved by FIDAL, with start and finish in Piazza della Repubblica. The route combines the historic city center with the surrounding urban and countryside areas. Alongside the competitive race, a non-competitive run of a few kilometers is open to everyone, including amateur runners and families.

The village and the celebration

During the race weekend, Piazza della Repubblica hosts a village with meetings, shows, and promotional activities, enlivening the finish line and creating a festive atmosphere that involves athletes, companions, and the public. The event, founded in 2022, has already seen good time results in its early editions.

A showcase for the territory

In addition to the sporting aspect, the Portogruaro Half Marathon is an opportunity to promote the historic center and the Portogruaro area, fostering the combination of sport, tourism, and discovery of the «little Venice» of Eastern Veneto.
