The Gnocchi Festival
In Acquanegra Cremonese, a small municipality in the Province of Cremona on the Po Valley plain, the Gnocchi Festival is the gastronomic event of the summer. Organized every year by the Pro Loco, it celebrates one of the iconic dishes of home cooking with three evenings of celebration at the town's sports field.

The festival's formula is the tried-and-tested one of Padanian village festivals:

A Village Tradition
The Gnocchi Festival is an event rooted in the life of Acquanegra Cremonese: Pro Loco volunteers liven up the evenings, the community gathers around the tables, and the festival becomes an occasion for meeting in the heart of summer. Among the Pro Loco's activities—which also organizes the Canti della Merla, Carnival, and Giugno in Piazza—the gnocchi festival best tells the story of the bond between the town and its simple, authentic cuisine.

The 2026 edition confirms the tradition of the Acquanegra Cremonese summer festival, scheduled for August at the sports field. Following the pattern of previous editions, the festival offers three evenings with food stalls featuring gnocchi, a bar, live music, orchestras, and DJ sets.
