In Casalmaggiore, a city in the Province of Cremona overlooking the Po river, summer has its evening ritual: the "Giovedì d'Estate" organized by the Pro Loco (local tourist board). A series of Thursday evening events, during the month of June, designed to liven up the town centre and kick off the summer season with music, sport, and conviviality.
The Pro Loco's new course
The 2026 edition also marks a new beginning for the Pro Loco of Casalmaggiore, which restarts under the presidency of Francesco Argento. "Giovedì d'Estate" are the first test for the new board, which has chosen to relaunch precisely with these popular events, supported by the work of volunteers, including those from Polo Romani.
Four evenings, four souls
The programme is divided into four evenings with different content:
- the party at Polo Romani, a format already successfully proposed;
- live music with Andrea Quaroni and his rockabilly group;
- the Sports Day, dedicated to the local sports clubs;
- the final concert, to close the festival.
A community celebration
More than just a series of events, "Giovedì d'Estate" is an occasion for the Casalmaggiore community to come together. They liven up the early summer evenings, showcase the work of volunteers, and prepare the ground for the Pro Loco's major events, especially the autumn Sagra del Cotechino (Cotechino Sausage Festival).
