The Green Show in the Heart of Bologna
Giardini & Terrazzi is the event that for over thirty years has accompanied gardening enthusiasts in the Parco dei Giardini Margherita, the most beloved green lung in the center of Bologna, in the capital of Emilia-Romagna. Organized by DA.RI srl, the exhibition takes place twice a year – in spring and autumn – and transforms the park's avenues and lawns into a large open-air market dedicated to greenery, gardens, and outdoor living.
Over 240 Exhibitors and a Thousand Ideas for the Garden
The heart of the event is its selection of exhibitors: more than 240 nursery owners, artisans, and producers from all over Italy. Among the stands, you'll find plants and flowers, a rich selection of antique and contemporary roses, Mediterranean plants, and aromatic herbs, as well as garden furniture and accessories, tools, clothing, vintage objects, wellness products, and gastronomic specialties from various regions. There are also landscape designs and installations curated by green architects and landscapers, creating true green scenographies for the public to enjoy.
An Event for the Whole Family
Giardini & Terrazzi is not just a market; it's a day to spend in nature. Thematic areas range from the Wellness Pavilion dedicated to well-being to spaces for animals, with the Pet Village and events like the Dog Party & Parade, to the Vintage Flavours section featuring vintage clothing, accessories, and tailored garments. Seminars, phytosanitary consultations, environmental conferences, and workshops complete a program designed for families, children, and the curious.
When and Where
The exhibition is held at Giardini Margherita, along Viale Giovanni Gozzadini, a few minutes from the historic center of Bologna (Province of Bologna). Admission is free, and the grounds are easily accessible on foot, by bicycle, or by public transport. Two events per year – spring and autumn – allow visitors to follow the rhythm of the seasons and discover new gardening trends each time.

Along the park's avenues, over 240 exhibitors offered plants, flowers, roses, furniture, accessories, crafts, vintage items, and wellness products, with continuous hours from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM and free admission.

How to Get There
The Parco dei Giardini Margherita is located along Viale Giovanni Gozzadini, in Bologna, a few minutes from the historic center and Bologna Centrale train station. It is reachable on foot from the center, by bicycle, or by urban bus lines. Those arriving by car can use the parking lots near the park and the ring roads.
Admission and Hours
Free admission. The exhibition is open from 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
Tips
Bring a large bag for your purchases of plants and wear comfortable clothing: the route winds outdoors along the park's avenues. The event takes place even in light rain.
