Edition 2025 — Maccaruni Festival

The 33rd edition of the Gavignano Maccaruni Festival took place in Gavignano from August 1st to 3rd, 2025, in Piazza dei Caduti. Three evenings dedicated to one of the oldest recipes in Lazio: hand-rolled egg pasta served with a sauce of castrato, sausage, and giblets, topped with pecorino, amidst live music and the atmosphere of the Gavignano Summer.

2025 Edition: The 33rd

In 2025, the Gavignano Maccaruni Festival returned for its thirty-third edition, from Friday, August 1st to Sunday, August 3rd, in Piazza dei Caduti in Gavignano, with evenings starting at 7:00 PM.

Once again, the star of the show was the village's signature dish: maccaruni alla gavignanese, hand-kneaded egg pasta cut very thin, served with the traditional sauce of castrato meat, pork sausage, lard, and chicken giblets, finished with aged pecorino. The Pro Loco of Gavignano stalls also offered other Lepini cuisine dishes and local wines.

The three evenings were accompanied by live music in the square and were part of the Gavignano Summer calendar, which every year brings together festivals, re-enactments, and patronal feasts in this small village in the province of Rome.
