An all-Italian Frühlingsfest

The Frühlingsfest de Rüell is the spring version of the classic Bavarian beer festival, organized in Rovello Porro, in the province of Como, by the R-Estate Positivi APS association, the local Pro Loco. The name itself, which mixes the German "Frühlingsfest" (spring festival) with the local dialect "de Rüell" (of Rovello), tells of the event's spirit: a popular festival that brings the atmosphere of Alpine breweries to Brianza.

Tyrolean and Bavarian Cuisine

The menu is the heart of the festival. On the table, you'll find spätzle with sausage and scamorza cheese, grilled würstel with sauerkraut and wholemeal bread, roast pork knuckle, pretzels stuffed with speck and gherkins, and cream-filled krapfen to finish on a sweet note. Accompanying the dishes is a wide selection of craft beer on tap, served in the large covered structure of the Area Feste in Via Luini, equipped with hundreds of seats.

Live Music and Fun

Every evening, the festival features live concerts, with bands ranging from rock to ska and reggae. Sunday is dedicated to families and children, with a medieval re-enactment in the morning that brings the charm of history to the town's streets, and shows designed for the little ones. Between courses, the typical Bavarian festival cheer is never missing.

Six Days of Celebration over Two Weekends

The Frühlingsfest de Rüell formula spreads the celebrations over two weekends in April, for a total of six evenings. It's a young but already very popular event, which with its free admission has become one of the most beloved spring events in Rovello Porro and its surroundings, in the heart of Como's Brianza region.
