The Triennale Milano's festival of theatre, dance, music, and performance
FOG is the performing arts festival at Triennale Milano, the cultural institution housed in the Palazzo dell'Arte, within Parco Sempione (District 1). Dedicated to theatre, dance, music, and performance, FOG brings some of the most interesting voices on the international contemporary scene to Milan, intertwining major European research with the languages of more experimental performance.
The 2026 edition marks an important innovation: for the first time, the festival is divided into two distinct periods during the year. The first chapter runs from 27 February to 26 April 2026; the second is scheduled for autumn. The overall programme features dozens of events, with numerous national and world premieres and artists from many different countries, confirming the festival's international scope.
Opening the 2026 edition is Romeo Castellucci, one of the most recognised names in European experimental theatre, with a new site-specific creation presented as a world premiere. Alongside him, the spring programme features works by artists such as Mario Banushi, Alberto Cortรฉs, Genny Petrotta, and Alessandro Sciarroni, in a journey that spans theatre, dance, and performance.
While the Triennale is its main venue, FOG extends to other cultural spaces in Milan, fostering a dialogue between the institution and the city. Talks, meetings, and in-depth discussions accompany the performances, making the festival also an occasion for reflection on contemporary arts. It is one of the key events for theatre and dance audiences in Milan and Lombardy.
