The Milan Flamenco Festival returns to the stage of the Strehler Theatre at the Piccolo Teatro, in Milan (Municipality of Milan, Lombardy), from June 15 to 19, 2026, for its nineteenth edition. Organized by Punto Flamenco, it is one of the most important Italian events dedicated to the art of flamenco, capable of uniting tradition and contemporary research.
The Theme: 'Hilos'
The 2026 edition revolves around the theme 'Hilos' (Threads): a reflection on the ability to be reborn, redefine the boundaries of identity, and question tradition by opening it to the present. The figure of Federico García Lorca serves as the common thread, on the 90th anniversary of his death.
Three Masters in National Premiere
- Úrsula López brings Lorca's unfinished work Comedia sin título back to life, amidst song, dance, and the living matter of duende.
- Manuel Liñán, winner of the National Dance Award, explores the freedom of the body in flamenco, transcending gender categories and transforming the bailaor into a fluid and revolutionary space.
- José Maya, with his company, moves between past and future to rediscover the roots and power of flamenco cante, making it an instrument of truth, denunciation, and emotion.
A Widespread Festival
Starting from June 3, the city transforms into an open-air stage with social and inclusive events in various urban spaces, expanding the festival beyond the theatre hall and bringing flamenco into contact with the city.

The Milan Flamenco Festival 2026 (19th edition) takes place from June 15 to 19 at the Strehler Theatre. The theme 'Hilos' offers a reflection on rebirth and identity, with Federico García Lorca as the common thread on the 90th anniversary of his death. In national premiere, three great artists—Úrsula López, Manuel Liñán, and José Maya—present three different worlds of flamenco. From June 3, the city hosts social and inclusive events in urban spaces.
