Edition 2025 — Spignolo Mushroom Festival
The 2025 edition of Flavors and Scents of Spring brought back the traditional festival dedicated to the spignolo, the highly fragrant spring mushroom that is the star of Frontone's cuisine, where the tagliatelle with spignolo is recognized as a De.Co. product.
At the food stands in the historic center, there were no shortage of tagliatelle and polenta with mushroom ragù, crescia with asparagus omelet, and other specialties of the traditional Catria cuisine. The program combined gastronomy, nature, and culture with mountain bike excursions and trekking on Monte Catria, floristic and botanical exhibitions, workshops for children, and live music, all set against the backdrop of the Castello della Porta overlooking the village.
