There is a setting that alone is worth the trip: the Rocca di Lonato del Garda, a fortress that dominates the southern Lake Garda from above. Every spring, within its walls, Fiori nella Rocca, one of the most anticipated and prestigious national horticultural exhibitions, is held. In 2026, the event reaches its 28th edition, scheduled from April 10th to 12th, and also celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Garden Club Brescia.

A paradise for plant lovers

The exhibition attracts nursery owners, growers, and plant researchers from all over Italy. Among the stalls, you'll find producers specializing in herbaceous perennials, roses, and peonies, as well as leading suppliers of aromatic, medicinal, and unique horticultural plants, citrus, olive trees, palms, pelargoniums, irises, lavenders, clematis, aquatic plants, succulents, tillandsias, heirloom fruits, hydrangeas, and camellias. An assortment that delights collectors, experts, and casual enthusiasts alike.

The 2026 novelty: medicinal plants

Among the new features for the 2026 edition is a thematic path of great scientific and sensory value, curated by Paolo and Marco Gramaglia, dedicated to medicinal plants: a journey through therapeutic properties and ancient traditions related to "simples." Alongside the plants, there will be floral installations that enhance the monumental setting of the Fortress.

Green culture on Lake Garda

The event is promoted by the Garden Club Brescia – which in 2026 celebrates half a century of activity dedicated to spreading green culture – together with the Fondazione Ugo Da Como. For Lonato del Garda, in the province of Brescia, Fiori nella Rocca is an event that combines botany, art, and landscape, also offering visitors the opportunity to discover the splendor of the Fortress, one of the most fascinating monuments of the Brescia side of Lake Garda.
