The Late Red Radicchio of Treviso IGP in celebration
Fiori d'Inverno – Sagori delle Terre Nostre is the event that celebrates the Late Red Radicchio of Treviso IGP, the winter symbol vegetable of the Marca, nicknamed "winter flower" for its elegant, curved shape. In Vedelago, in the province of Treviso, the local stop of this food and wine circuit makes its debut.
The festival opens with a dinner dedicated to the late radicchio at Villa Corner and continues on Sunday with the exhibition-market in Piazza Martiri della Libertà, where the IGP radicchio and local products are the stars from 9 AM to 5 PM. There will be show cooking with a chef, radicchio processing demonstrations, and food stalls.
The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Vedelago in collaboration with the Municipality of Vedelago and with the involvement of the Consortium for the protection of Red Radicchio of Treviso and Variegated of Castelfranco. An opportunity to discover and taste one of the most iconic products of Venetian gastronomy in its land of origin.
The first edition of Fiori d'Inverno in Vedelago brought the Late Red Radicchio of Treviso IGP to the square with two days of tastings, product knowledge, and gastronomy, between Villa Corner and Piazza Martiri della Libertà.
Throughout the day: food stalls (fritters, bubble waffles, cotton candy) and agricultural machinery exhibition.
Villa Corner (Saturday dinner) and Piazza Martiri della Libertà (Sunday exhibition-market), Vedelago (TV).
