The centuries-old patronal fair of the village of Pomponesco
Pomponesco, a small gem in the Bassa Mantovana region, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, celebrates its patron saint Saint Felicita (July 10th) every July with a fair of ancient origins. The event takes place in the charming Piazza XXIII Aprile, with its characteristic Renaissance layout.
The Fiera di Santa Felicita is an event rooted in centuries past, an integral part of the village's identity and the cultural calendar of the Mantua region. For several days, the square and the historic centre come alive with activities for all ages.
The programme includes the traditional funfair in the square, food stalls, tastings of typical local products, a charity raffle, and exhibitions of crafts and hobbies. Every evening, starting at 9:30 PM, live music accompanies the festivities. A tried-and-tested mix that makes the fair a gathering point for the residents of Pomponesco and visitors from the province of Mantua.
The 2026 edition of the Fiera di Santa Felicita will be held in July in the historic centre of Pomponesco, around the feast of the patron saint (July 10th).
