Edition 2025 — Ficandò Festival
The 2025 Ficandò Festival was held in Alessano on Friday, August 22, starting at 8:30 PM, enlivening Piazza Don Tonino Bello and the alleys of the historic center. Organized by the Pro Loco of Alessano, the evening celebrated ficandò, the typical stew of fried green peppers with tomatoes, onions, and basil, prepared by local women and served with homemade bread and frise.
The characteristic case a corte (courtyard houses) of the village opened their doors for musical and theatrical moments, while in Piazza Castello, a concert of traditional Salento music was held with the group Lu Rusciu Nosciu, featuring pizzica and folk songs. The event, with free admission, confirmed its vocation as an authentic celebration dedicated to rediscovering the flavors of the peasant cuisine of Capo di Leuca.

- 8:30 PM — Opening of food stalls in Piazza Don Tonino Bello and the historic center: tasting of ficandò (Salento-style peppers) served with bread and frise
- Opening of the village's courtyard houses with musical and theatrical moments
- 10:00 PM — Piazza Castello: concert of Salento folk music with the group Lu Rusciu Nosciu (pizzica and traditional songs)
