Fettuccine alla Trebulana Festival

The 2025 edition: twenty-five years of the festival

On August 2nd and 3rd, 2025, Monteleone Sabino celebrated the 25th edition of the Fettuccine alla Trebulana Festival, an important milestone for the Pro Loco and for a village of just a few hundred inhabitants in the province of Rieti.

As per tradition, the stalls opened at 7:00 PM in the historic center, serving Fettuccine alla Trebulana prepared by hand with a rolling pin and topped with peas, tomato, mushrooms, ham, and bacon, alongside the aglio e persa version. The menu included other Monteleone recipes, particularly grilled sausages and bacon, enhanced by Sabina PDO extra virgin olive oil.

The two evenings were animated by live music and a market of crafts and local products, while many visitors took advantage of the afternoon to visit the Roman amphitheater of Trebula Mutuesca, the civic museum, and the Sanctuary of Santa Vittoria with its catacombs.
