The international festival of folk dance and song on the Jesolo shore
Every year, in spring, the shore of Jesolo becomes a crossroads of cultures thanks to the international festival 'The Beaches of Italy', dedicated to folk dance and song. Hundreds of artists from all over the world choose the coast of the province of Venice to perform and share the traditions of their countries, in an event that has been uniting different peoples and languages for over twenty years.
The festival's philosophy is clear: not a competition, but a celebration. It is a non-competitive event that welcomes folk dance groups, choirs, instrumental ensembles, majorettes, and even more contemporary styles such as jazz, hip hop, and classical ballet. Each ensemble presents its own program, in a spirit based on fun, tolerance, and mutual respect.
Performances take place on the open-air stage in Piazza Aurora, in the heart of Jesolo's shore. Parades, concerts, and gala moments animate the festival days, offering the public—tourists and residents alike—a kaleidoscope of costumes, music, and dances from every continent.
For Jesolo, 'The Beaches of Italy' is much more than a show: it is an opening event for the season that brings the richness of international folklore to the Venetian coast, transforming the seaside resort into a world stage.
The XXIII edition of the festival 'The Beaches of Italy' brings to Jesolo, from May 17 to 20, 2026, folk dance and song ensembles from numerous countries around the world. Performances take place on the open-air stage of Piazza Aurora: each group presents its own program of about 10 minutes, in a non-competitive event that brings together dance groups, choirs, instrumental ensembles, majorettes, and contemporary styles.
The festival unfolds over several days with the usual structure of the international folklore event:
