The festival of the hamlet of Le Valli
Le Valli is a small hamlet of Castelleone, in the province of Cremona, inhabited by a few hundred people and centered around the church of Santa Maria in Bressanoro. Every year, at the end of August, the village comes alive with its festival, a village celebration that attracts visitors from the surrounding areas for a few days of food, music, and tradition.
Gastronomy and popular tradition
The heart of the festival is the food stall with traditional local dishes, accompanied by musical performances, children's entertainment, poems, and nursery rhymes. Particularly heartfelt are the moments dedicated to the popular songs and dances of the Coro Le Valli, which preserves the repertoire of Cremonese peasant culture.
A festival of solidarity
The festival has a strong charitable purpose: the proceeds are donated to the restoration of the church of Santa Maria in Bressanoro and to solidarity initiatives. The event, supported by the hamlet's community and the Municipality of Castelleone, is an example of how even the smallest villages in the province of Cremona can keep their identity alive.
Festival of the Valleys — edition 2026
In 2026, the hamlet of Le Valli in Castelleone will once again host its late August festival. The celebration will feature food stalls with traditional dishes, evening music, children's entertainment, and popular songs and dances by the Coro Le Valli. As is tradition, the proceeds will be dedicated to the restoration of the church of Santa Maria in Bressanoro and charitable works.
