The De.Co. Casoncello Fair is the event that promotes the typical product of Barbariga, in the province of Brescia: the casoncello, a stuffed pasta from the Brescian tradition that has obtained the Municipal Designation (De.Co.) here, a recognition that protects its recipe and production method.
Gastronomy, music, and entertainment
For four days, the covered structure of the sports center hosts food stalls with casoncello, torta fritta, and local products, accompanied by evenings of dancing, live music, and DJ sets. The program also includes rallies of vintage motorcycles and cars, dance school performances, puppet shows, traditional competitions, and a final fireworks display.
A dish for everyone
The fair also caters to children and those seeking alternative options, with the Babycasoncello, a portion designed for children, and the Casoncello Light, prepared with Garda oil instead of butter. Organized by the Pro Loco of Barbariga, the event is a highly anticipated date on the gastronomic calendar of the Bassa Bresciana region.
