Garlate goes back in time among its ancient courtyards
The Festa delle Corti is the event that every year, at the beginning of September, brings the village of Garlate (Province of Lecco) back to life as it once was. The courtyards and streets of the historic center, overlooking Lake Garlate, transform into a large open-air theater where costumed characters, stories, and crafts tell the story of life in the past.
The program enhances the identity of the territory, which has always been linked to the processing of silk, remembered in the local Silk Museum:
The festival concludes on Sunday evening with a fireworks display over the lake, the most anticipated moment of the event. An event that strengthens the sense of community and celebrates the historical and artisan roots of Garlate and the Lecchese Brianza.
The official website confirms the 32nd edition of the Festa delle Corti, but at the moment it has not yet published the precise dates for 2026. Historically, the event is held on the first weekend of September, spread over Saturday and Sunday. The detailed program, with the times for guided tours, workshops, and the final fireworks display, will be announced in the weeks preceding the event.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published on the official website in the weeks preceding the event. Based on past editions, the festival generally includes:
