The bisàto, the local eel, protagonist of the summer festival of Corte
The Festival of the Bisateo of Corte is the gastronomic festival of the hamlet of Corte, in Piove di Sacco, in the province of Padua. The name derives from bisàto (in the Venetian dialect, eel), the symbolic dish of the festival: a product linked to the waters and culinary traditions of the Saccisica territory.
In Piazzale della Brenta, the food stand offers the famous bisàto along with typical Venetian cuisine dishes. The evenings come alive with live music, with a different band each night, in a atmosphere of popular and convivial celebration typical of the summer festivals of the Padua area.
Organized by Pro Loco Corte with the patronage of the Municipality of Piove di Sacco, the festival is a rooted event that brings together the inhabitants of the hamlet and the surrounding areas. The support of the municipal administration, documented year after year, testifies to the importance of the event for the local community.
The 2026 edition of the Festival of the Bisateo of Corte is expected in June, spread over some weekends according to the hamlet's tradition. The food stand in Piazzale della Brenta will offer bisàto and typical Venetian dishes, while the evenings will be enlivened by live music, with a different band each night.
The exact dates and the evening schedule for the 2026 edition will be published by Pro Loco Corte closer to the event. The established format includes:
