Edition 2025 — Festival of Pestith

The Festival of Pestith and Fermented Foods was held in spring 2025 on the shores of Lake Barcis, featuring the Slow Food Earth Market, fermentation workshops, international demonstrations, and themed dinners dedicated to pestith and world fermented cuisines.

In 2025, the Festival of Pestith and Fermented Foods confirmed its original format on the shores of Lake Barcis, bringing two days dedicated to fermentation to the heart of Valcellina. Organized by Slow Food Pordenone, it brought together producers, chefs, and researchers around pestith, the ancient fermented turnip of the valley.

The Earth Market, practical workshops on fermentation techniques, demonstrations with international chefs, and themed dinners made the event an increasingly anticipated appointment for gastronomy and food culture enthusiasts, in a natural setting of rare beauty.
