Edition 2025 — La Cisrà of Lanzo

In 2025, Lanzo Torinese once again celebrated La Cisrà, the ancient chickpea soup born from a 1728 testamentary bequest. As per tradition, the overnight preparation at the Casa dei Ceci on Via Cottolengo was followed by the blessing and free distribution of the soup to the public, during a late spring weekend dedicated to taste, memory, and solidarity in the heart of the Valli di Lanzo.

The 2025 edition of La Cisrà confirmed the vitality of one of the most cherished traditions in Lanzo Torinese (Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont). The soup made of chickpeas, tripe, and vegetables was prepared according to the usual ritual at the Casa dei Ceci on Via Cottolengo, featuring the long overnight cooking, the blessing, and the free distribution to the population. An event that, in the spirit of Giuseppe Allemano's 1728 bequest, continues to unite gastronomy, local identity, and solidarity.
