The Festival of Good Eating in Casanova Lerrone is one of the most beloved gastronomic events in the hinterland of Albenga, in the Val Lerrone in the province of Savona. With over three decades of history, the festival is now a well-established tradition that attracts visitors from all over the Riviera di Ponente and nearby villages.
Dishes of Ligurian tradition
The absolute protagonist is Ligurian land cuisine: ravioli made according to the local recipe, Ligurian-style rabbit flavored with olives and aromatic herbs, and spit-roasted porchetta cooked slowly. The food stands, set up by the town's volunteers, offer the authentic flavors of the Savona hinterland for three days, accompanied by local wines.
Music, dancing, and village festival
Alongside the food, the evenings are enlivened by music and dancing, which transform the small community of Casanova Lerrone into a meeting point for residents and tourists. Casanova Lerrone is located in the hinterland of Albenga, up the Val Lerrone. By car, it can be reached from Albenga (A10 Albenga exit) following signs for the valley. It is not served by a train station: the nearest station is Albenga.
