About Festival of Events

The Festival of Events is the major cultural container that AGIMP and Nove Eventi bring to Ferrara, Emilia-Romagna, every year. A multidisciplinary project that intertwines music, cultural journalism, audiovisual, and performing arts, bringing together historic competitions like 'Una Voce per l'Europa' and the 'Gran Galà dei Festival,' and the 'Corona d'Oro' and 'Film Videoclip Award Italia' prizes. Between the Ridotto of the Teatro Comunale, Sala Estense, and Piazza Municipale, the festival guides young performers and authors along a path that culminates in the national final.

A festival spanning music and culture

The Festival of Events is a multidisciplinary review that takes place in Ferrara, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna, organized into several events distributed throughout the year. Promoted and organized by Nove Eventi S.r.l. in collaboration with AGIMP and with the support of the Municipality of Ferrara and the Fondazione Teatro Comunale, the festival is dedicated to music, cultural journalism, audiovisual, and performing arts, with a particular focus on the training and promotion of young talents.

The four pillars of the festival

  • Una Voce per l'Europa – Italia: a historic singing competition, now in its 58th edition, dedicated to discovering and promoting young performers and authors, both live and based on music.
  • Gran Galà dei Festival: an international network that fosters dialogue between music events from different countries.
  • Premio Corona d'Oro: a national award dedicated to the protection and promotion of cultural and musical information, aimed at journalists and critics.
  • Film Videoclip Award Italia: a competition that celebrates the music video as an expressive form.

The 2026 program

The 2026 edition opens on April 18 at the Ridotto of the Teatro Comunale in Ferrara, with a day that combines a training session for journalists on the theme of information in the age of artificial intelligence, the awarding of the Premio Corona d'Oro and the Film Videoclip Award, and casting sessions for young contestants. Among the announced guests is journalist and music critic Gino Castaldo. Official selections continue from June 18 to 21 at the Sala Estense, with the semifinals, while the national grand finale is scheduled for September 5 in Piazza Municipale.

Why it's worth participating

More than a single event, the Festival of Events is a platform that supports emerging artists and communication professionals, offering the public in Ferrara concerts, awards ceremonies, and free-entry meetings. Its national and international dimension makes it a benchmark event for those who follow new Italian music and the debate on cultural journalism.
