Three days of books, theatre, music, and civic engagement
The Festival of Culture and Legality is a new event held at Parco Mostar, on Via Aureliana in Montegrotto Terme (province of Padua). Promoted by the association Itaca Officina Culturale in collaboration with the Municipality, the festival addresses themes of legality, historical memory, and civic engagement through the language of culture.
The programme includes book presentations, theatre performances, readings, folk dances, and concerts. It covers the Resistance with the book Sentieri partigiani by Paolo Malaguti, memory with a reading dedicated to the story of Matteo Toffanin, and organised crime with Maurizio Dianese's volume on the Brenta mafia. The Silver Symphony Orchestra will close the event with a concert.
Alongside the evening events, the festival offers afternoon workshops on comics and painting, and hosts information stands from organisations like Doctors Without Borders and the publishing house BeccoGiallo. It's an opportunity to combine cultural entertainment with awareness-raising on justice, rights, and solidarity, in the heart of the Euganean spa town.
The 1st edition of the Festival of Culture and Legality debuts at Parco Mostar in Montegrotto Terme from June 5th to 7th, 2026, with six evening events and two afternoon workshops.
Promoted by Itaca Officina Culturale and the Municipality, the festival intertwines books, theatre, music, and civic engagement, also hosting stands from Doctors Without Borders and the publishing house BeccoGiallo.
