In the municipality of Bosisio Parini, in the province of Lecco, the patronal feast of Sant'Anna is the most cherished event of the summer. Sant'Anna and San Gioacchino are the patron saints of the town, celebrated around July 26th, the saint's liturgical day. However, the celebrations extend over two weeks, transforming the shores of Lake Pusiano into a meeting place for the community.
Between faith and conviviality
The festival is promoted by the Parish of Bosisio Parini together with the associations and volunteers of the town. Alongside religious moments - evening preparatory masses and solemn masses on the patronal weekend - there are evening football tournaments, catering with typical dishes, dancing evenings with live music and DJs, and the traditional tombola with a lottery draw.
The procession on the water
The most evocative moment is the procession of the statue of Sant'Anna on Lake Pusiano: the saint crosses the body of water on a boat, accompanied by the faithful and the band, starting from Pusiano to return to Bosisio. It is a tradition introduced in 2000 by Don Giuseppe Farioli and repeated every year, accompanied by the Band of San Fermo of Cesana Brianza and the presence of civil protection and the local Croce Verde (Green Cross).

Between the blessing of grandparents and grandchildren, community lunches, and musical evenings, the feast of Sant'Anna tells the story of the identity of Bosisio Parini, a small town in the Lecco Brianza region overlooking one of the most picturesque lakes in the area, balanced between the provinces of Lecco and Como.
Sant'Anna a Bosisio — edition 2026
In 2026, Bosisio Parini will once again celebrate Sant'Anna and San Gioacchino, its patron saints. The festival will follow the established pattern of previous years: evenings of food and tournaments in the first half of July, evening preparatory masses, and solemn masses and processions on the patronal weekend. The traditional procession of the statue of Sant'Anna by boat on Lake Pusiano, a symbol of the festival since 2000, is confirmed.

The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by the parish in the weeks preceding the festival. The structure, consolidated over the years, includes:
- First half of July: evening football tournaments (8:30 PM) and catering service (from 7:00 PM) with typical dishes
- Patronal week: evening preparatory masses (8:00 PM) and musical evenings
- Saturday of the patronal feast: solemn mass (10:00 AM), blessing of grandparents and grandchildren (4:00 PM), procession on the lake (6:45 PM)
- Sunday: solemn mass (10:00 AM), community lunch, procession on the lake and through the village streets (6:45 PM), tombola with lottery draw (9:30 PM)

How to get there
Bosisio Parini is located on Lake Pusiano, in the province of Lecco. By car, it can be reached from the SS36 (exit towards Brianza) or from the SP639. Bosisio-Parini railway station is on the Milan-Molteno-Lecco line.
Admission
Religious services and the procession are free and open to all. Catering and evening events are organised by the parish.
