Festa Patronale della Natività di Maria Vergine

The patronal festival of Cassinetta di Lugagnano returns in 2026 with its nearly week-long program dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. The climax falls on the second Sunday of September, September 13th.

For 2026 too, the village overlooking the Naviglio Grande offers the proven formula: Medieval Market, StraCassinetta, exhibitions, theatre performances, live music, white night, and fireworks on the canal. Stalls and street food offerings will line Via Roma, Piazza Negri, and Via Trento.

The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be released by the Pro Loco and the Municipality in the weeks prior. Based on the established structure of the event, typical activities include:

• Weekdays — themed evenings, debates, and cultural meetings
• StraCassinetta — non-competitive run organized by the San Carlo Musical Corps
• Saturday — Medieval Market with re-enactment of arts and crafts, photographic and art exhibitions, children's theatre performance in the park, live music in the streets, white night, and fireworks on the Naviglio in the evening
• Sunday — continuation of the Medieval Market, workshops for children, musical tribute to Fabrizio De André in the park
• Concluding Monday — concert by the historic San Carlo musical band in Piazza Negri and presentation of awards and scholarships
