The festival of Our Lady of Loreto in Reppia, over a hundred years of tradition in Val Graveglia
In Reppia, a picturesque hamlet in the Municipality of Ne nestled in the woods of Val Graveglia (Metropolitan City of Genoa), the Festa du Luetto is a tradition passed down for over a hundred years. "Luetto" is the dialectal name for Our Lady of Loreto, to whom the festival is dedicated, and it is one of the most identity-defining events for the valley's community.
The festival intertwines the religious and popular dimensions. Alongside moments of prayer, such as reciting the rosary, the programme features concerts by the Ligurian Bell Ringers, theatrical performances, and ancient traditional games. The setting of Reppia, a stone village surrounded by nature, makes the atmosphere particularly evocative.
The food stalls and bar service, managed by the Pro Loco Val Graveglia (Local Tourist Board) along with local entities, offer typical valley dishes, while the farmhouses offer tastings of local products. Recognized among the Authentic Ligurian Events, the Festa du Luetto is the perfect opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the Chiavari hinterland, where faith, community, and gastronomic tradition have coexisted for generations.
The 2026 edition of the Festa du Luetto takes place from 12 to 14 September in Reppia, a hamlet of Ne in Val Graveglia. The festival, dedicated to Our Lady of Loreto and part of the Authentic Ligurian Events, renews a centuries-old tradition of devotion and conviviality.
The programme alternates religious moments, such as reciting the rosary, with shows and concerts, including those by the Ligurian Bell Ringers and theatrical performances by the "I Ruspanti" company. The food stalls and bar, managed by the Pro Loco Val Graveglia and local entities, offer the flavours of the valley, with tastings of typical products offered by farmhouses and ancient traditional games.
Reppia di Ne can be reached from Chiavari by going up Val Graveglia; the hamlet is located in the upper part of the valley. Mountain roads, allow extra time.
