The Festa di San Teobaldo celebrates the patron saint of Badia Polesine, in the province of Rovigo. Every July 1st, the faithful gather to renew their devotion to the patron saint in a day that intertwines liturgy, tradition, and community life.
Between faith and tradition
The religious program includes the tribute to the relics in the archpriestal church and the Eucharistic celebration, followed by the solemn procession that crosses the town center from the church to Sperone Bova, on the banks of the Adige River. Here, the evocative blessing of the waters takes place, a traditional moment deeply felt by the population. For some years now, the distribution of San Teobaldo's bread has been added.
A community festival
The liturgical part is accompanied by a convivial moment in the youth center premises, enlivened by the Pro Loco (local tourism and cultural association). The festival gathers the participation of civil and religious authorities and the entire citizenry, confirming itself as one of the most important identity events of the Municipality of Badia Polesine and the upper Polesine area.

On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, the community of Badia Polesine renews its devotion to its patron saint, San Teobaldo. How to get there
Badia Polesine can be reached by car from the SS482 along the Adige River; from the A13 highway (Bologna-Padova), exit at Rovigo or Boara. The archpriestal church and Sperone Bova are located in the center and on the banks of the Adige River.
