The patronal festival of Pieve d'Olmi at the end of November
The Festa di San Geminiano is the patronal festival of Pieve d'Olmi, a village in the plains in the province of Cremona, near the Po River. It is celebrated on the last Sunday of November, when the community gathers around its patron saint in the heart of autumn.
Among the elements that characterize the festival is the photographic exhibition dedicated to the farmhouses of the area: a tribute to the rural history of Pieve d'Olmi and the agricultural architecture that has shaped the landscape of the Bassa (lowlands). It is a way for the community to recognise itself in its farming identity, in an era when farmhouses tell of a changing world.
The festival also features the evening 'tombolata', a convivial event par excellence, and a gift stall, which, close to the year-end holidays, offers an opportunity for early Christmas shopping. The religious celebrations remain the focal point of the event.
The Festa di San Geminiano marks the end-of-autumn calendar for Pieve d'Olmi, a period when the patronal festivals of the Cremona lowlands take on a quiet, family-oriented tone. An opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the province, far from the major tourist flows.
The 2026 edition of the Festa di San Geminiano in Pieve d'Olmi is expected on the last Sunday of November, following the village's patronal tradition. The exact program has not yet been published.
As in previous years, religious celebrations in honour of the patron saint, a photographic exhibition dedicated to local farmhouses, an evening 'tombolata', and a gift stall are anticipated.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be announced by the organizers.
