Christmas in the city of the violin

Armonie di Natale is the programme of events that accompanies the Christmas period in Cremona, the famous city of the violin. From late November until January 6th, the historic centre transforms into a large festive village, with lights, decorations, markets, nativity scenes and shows designed for the whole family, in an atmosphere that combines the magic of Christmas with the charm of one of Lombardy's most beautiful art cities.

The tree, the lights and the ice-skating rink

The scenic heart of the event is the large 17-metre-high illuminated Christmas tree, set up in Piazza del Comune, the lighting of which officially kicks off the festivities. Among the attractions is the ice-skating rink at CremonaPo, with a small Christmas market, while the streets of the centre fill with lights and initiatives.

Markets, nativity scenes and shows

The Sunday markets "Le Quattro Stagioni di Cremona" offer Christmas-themed displays and initiatives, alongside specialised markets and an area dedicated to hobbyists. Numerous nativity scenes are scattered throughout the city — from the Sala dei Decurioni of Palazzo Comunale to the large laser nativity scene under the portico of Palazzo Cittanova — while band performances, choirs, carousels and activities for children liven up the entire period.

A celebration for the whole city

Promoted by the Distretto Urbano del Commercio (Urban Commerce District) with the Municipality of Cremona, Armonie di Natale is the event that envelops the city in a festive atmosphere every year. Amidst the lights of Piazza del Comune and the scents of the markets, it is the perfect opportunity to discover Cremona in its most evocative period, between art, tradition and fun.
