Live music, DJ sets and a pyromusical show in the most scenic square in Padua
The Festa di Ferragosto in Prato della Valle is now a well-established tradition for Padua and the entire Veneto region. The setting is one of the most spectacular squares in Italy: Prato della Valle, the enormous ellipse of almost 90,000 square meters with Isola Memmia at its center, surrounded by a canal and a double row of statues. Here, every August 15th, the large festival stage is set up.
The event is organized by Radio Company, with the "Big Bang Company" format: the evening opens with DJ sets starting at 9:00 PM, continues with live music, and culminates around midnight with the pyromusical show that lights up the sky above the Prato. The fireworks display is designed to be spectacular without loud detonations, respecting domestic and wild animals, and with particular attention to reducing emissions.
The event is entirely free and has become an identity-defining appointment for the people of Padua: those who stay in the city for Ferragosto know that Prato della Valle is the meeting point. The festival brings together different generations, from the younger crowd attracted by the DJ sets to families who come for the fireworks, on one of the hottest and most crowded nights of the Paduan summer.
The 2026 edition of the Festa di Ferragosto in Prato della Valle takes place on August 15th, confirming the most anticipated event of the Paduan summer. On the large stage set up in the square, the evening hosted by Radio Company alternates DJ sets and live music, concluding with the pyromusical show above Isola Memmia.
The event is free and attracts thousands of people every year to the picturesque setting of Prato della Valle.
The specific confirmation of the 2026 program (musical guests and detailed times) has not yet been published at the time of writing. The usual structure of the evening, documented in previous editions, includes:
