The Lapio festival among the specialties of the Berici Hills
The Festa della Luganega takes place in Santa Croce di Lapio, a hamlet of the municipality of Arcugnano, in the province of Vicenza, in the heart of the Berici Hills. Now in its 42nd edition, it is one of the longest-running and most attended festivals in the area, dedicated to one of the specialties of Venetian tradition: luganega, the typical fresh sausage to be grilled.
The food stand, open every evening from 7 PM, offers a rich menu rooted in local cuisine: grilled luganeghe, bigoli with meat ragรน, lasagne with Berici truffle, wild boar stew and peas, pork ribs. The Berici Hills are a land of truffles and game, and the festival is an authentic showcase of this.
The event spans five days, combining gastronomy, music, and themed evenings. The opening evening traditionally features live Latin music, while other dates alternate with shows, sports, and moments dedicated to Berici traditions. There is also a charity raffle and bouncy castles for children.
Arcugnano is a municipality spread across the gentle hills of the Berici Hills, a few kilometers from Vicenza. The Festa della Luganega is a perfect opportunity to discover this corner of the Vicenza area, where good food and community spirit remain at the center of village life.
The 42nd Festa della Luganega takes place in Santa Croce di Lapio di Arcugnano from May 29 to June 2, 2026. Five evenings dedicated to the cuisine of the Berici Hills, with the food stand open every evening from 7 PM.
