Half a century of summer festival
The Agosto Borghettano takes place in August in the hamlet of Borghetto in San Martino di Lupari, a municipality in the Alta Padovana region in the province of Padua, in Piazza Antonio Mantiero. Founded in 1975, it is one of the most established summer festivals in the area, organised by the Centro Ricreativo di Borghetto.
In honour of San Rocco
The festival is linked to the devotion to San Rocco, one of Borghetto's patron saints, whose feast day falls on August 16th. The celebrations are concentrated around this date, combining religious, convivial, and musical aspects.
Ballroom dancing and live bands
The programme alternates evenings of orchestras for ballroom dancing, aimed at the traditional audience, with the Summer Crock Fest featuring live bands designed for younger people.
