The Festa del Panin Onto is one of the most beloved summer festivals in Ponte di Barbarano, a hamlet of the municipality of Barbarano Mossano in the province of Vicenza. The absolute star is the "onto" sandwich, which you can assemble as you like: start by choosing the meat and then add vegetables, sauces, and cheeses for a sandwich tailored to every taste.
Kitchens, side dishes, and gluten-free
Throughout the festival, the kitchens open at 7 PM. Alongside the classic "panin onto", you'll find traditional side dishes and, thanks to collaboration with BigFree of Vicenza, a gluten-free version for those with coeliac disease or intolerances. The bar area offers beers, cocktails, and refreshing drinks to accompany the evenings.
Live music and DJs until late
The musical entertainment is the festival's second major draw: every evening, the stage hosts live music and DJ sets that alternate until late at night, with cover bands, tribute bands, and themed evenings. Organised by the volunteers of the Pro Loco of Ponte di Barbarano, it's an event that attracts many young people and families from all over the Vicenza area each year, in a successful mix of good food and fun.
Festa del Panin Onto — edition 2026
From June 12 to 14, 2026, Ponte di Barbarano hosts the Festa del Panin Onto. For three evenings, the kitchens open at 7 PM with the customizable "onto" sandwich (choice of meat plus vegetables, sauces, and cheeses), the gluten-free version, and classic side dishes, while the bar area offers beers and cocktails. Live music and DJ sets alternate on stage until the early hours.
