The Festa del Germano Reale – Antica Sagra del Rosario is the festival that the hamlet of Santa Maria di Camisano Vicentino, in the province of Vicenza, dedicates at the end of September to the feast of the Rosary. Its distinctive feature is gastronomic: the absolute star is the arna, or royal mallard, cooked according to traditional Venetian recipes and typically served with polenta.
In Contrà Pieve
The event takes place in Contrà Pieve (Via Negrin 13), in the heart of the Santa Maria hamlet. Here, the Pro Loco Camisano sets up the food stand and offers, for several evenings, dishes based on royal mallard along with other village specialities, in a festive atmosphere that attracts visitors from neighbouring municipalities.

In 2026 too, the Festa del Germano Reale – Antica Sagra del Rosario will return at the end of September to Contrà Pieve, in Santa Maria di Camisano Vicentino. The Pro Loco Camisano will again offer the food stand dedicated to arna, royal mallard served with polenta, along with other traditional specialities and musical evenings.
