About Festa del Bosco
When the park becomes a fairy-tale forest
For one evening, the Parco della Solidarietà in Campomarino, in the province of Campobasso, ceases to be an urban park and becomes the Bosco di Fantinia: a fantasy world populated by gnomes, fairies, dragons, wizards, and witches. The Festa del Bosco, subtitled Festival of Street Artists, is one of the most beloved events for families in the Molise summer.
A journey through magic and wonder
The organization, managed by the Association La Compagnia del Bosco together with the Municipality of Campomarino, sets up themed areas along the park's paths: the Elves' Camp with its games, the fairies' face painting, the gnomes' workshops, the Land of the Orcs. Wandering characters like the witch Safira and mischievous orcs populate the woods. Visitors are invited to participate in costume—as elves, knights, or magical creatures—to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere.
Shows and grand finale
After the Grand Opening Parade with the "People of Bosco di Fantinia," the evening comes alive with fire shows, soap bubbles, circus theatre, and juggling. The highlight arrives at midnight with the Dragon Tremidio, which combines pyrotechnics and visual storytelling for a spectacular grand finale. Active since 2017, the event offers free admission and is accompanied by food stalls.
Festa del Bosco — edition 2026
After the success of previous editions, the Festa del Bosco di Fantinia returns in August 2026 for its 9th edition, still in the Parco della Solidarietà in Campomarino. The formula that made the event famous is confirmed: the Grand Parade of the People of the Bosco, themed areas (Elves' Camp, Land of the Orcs, gnomes' workshops, fairies' face painting), magic shows, circus, and juggling, and the grand finale at midnight with the dragon and fireworks. The precise date, usually the first or second Saturday of August, will be announced by the Associazione La Compagnia del Bosco.

The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by the Associazione La Compagnia del Bosco in the weeks prior. The evening will follow the established structure:
- 7:00 PM — Grand Opening Parade with the People of Bosco di Fantinia
- Themed areas: Elves' Camp, Land of the Orcs, gnomes' workshops, fairies' face painting
- Wandering characters (witch Safira, orcs)
- from 9:00 PM — Fire shows, soap bubbles, circus theatre, and juggling
- midnight — Grand finale with the dragon and fireworks

By car: A14, Termoli exit, then SS16 south to Campomarino. The Parco della Solidarietà is located along Viale Marconi.
