In Peseggia, a hamlet of Scorzè in the province of Venice, the pea is no ordinary vegetable: the Biso De.Co. (Denominazione Comunale - Municipal Designation) is an identity product, linked to the agricultural tradition of the area. The Festa dei Bisi, founded in the early seventies, is its most heartfelt celebration and in 2026 will reach its 54th edition.
'Risi e bisi' and the food stand
The heart of the event is the food stand, where the Peseggia pea becomes the star of the symbolic dish of Venetian cuisine: 'risi e bisi'. Alongside, grilled meats, parmigiana, desserts, and local wines, for a offering that draws visitors from all over the Miranese area and beyond.

A community festival
The Festa dei Bisi is organised by Pro Loco Scorzè together with the Comitato Festa dei Bisi, with the involvement of the parishes of Gardigiano and Peseggia. It is, as the organisers define it, a moment of sharing and meeting between generations, one of the most anticipated by the community.
Festa dei Bisi — edition 2026
The 54th edition of the Festa dei Bisi takes place in Peseggia di Scorzè from May 29 to June 8, 2026. The programme, centred around the food stand featuring 'risi e bisi' and the Peseggia De.Co. pea, is confirmed, accompanied by musical evenings, children's entertainment, sports events, a funfair, and the traditional 'Corsa dei Bisi'. Organised by Pro Loco Scorzè and the Comitato Festa dei Bisi. Free admission.

How to get here
Peseggia is a hamlet of Scorzè, in the Miranese area (Venice), reachable by car from the SR245 Castellana. Nearest train stations are Mestre or Mogliano Veneto.
Admission and times
Free admission. Food stand open in the evenings (and for lunch on public holidays). Official opening and fruit and vegetable exhibition generally on the first day.
