The Feast of Our Lady of the Assumption is the Ferragosto celebration of Castel San Vincenzo, a municipality in the province of Isernia located in Alto Molise, at the foot of the Mainarde mountains and overlooking the charming lake of the same name. It is held on August 15th, on the traditional solemnity of the Assumption of Mary, with a religious service in the church of San Martino.

A feast in the heart of summer

August 15th is one of the liveliest moments of the year for the village: in the middle of summer, the mountain village fills with residents, vacationers, and emigrants returning to their roots. The celebration of the Assumption in the church of San Martino renews the community's Marian devotion and is part of the event calendar of the Municipality of Castel San Vincenzo.
